Every M-LOK handguard has that one spot where you wish there was a slot and there just isn't. The Arisaka Defense 40 Degree M-LOK to M-LOK Adapter fixes exactly that. It bolts into your existing slots and gives you a fresh set of three half M-LOK slots angled at a 40-degree offset, opening up real estate at the 1:30 and 10:30 clock positions where a lot of rails come up short. If your handguard only has a single full slot up top or nothing at the corners, this little piece of aluminum solves the problem cleanly.
The most common use is mounting a Unity Tactical Hot Button or a tape switch off to one side of the top rail, right where your thumb naturally lands. That means you can trigger your weapon light or laser without breaking your firing grip or reaching across the gun. It also works down low: throw it on the 6 o'clock slots with an angled vertical grip like Arisaka's VFG-M and you get a grip that kicks out to one side, which buys you clearance around a drum mag or belt-fed setup.
This adapter is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and finished with a Type III hard coat anodize, so it shrugs off holster wear, weather, and hard use without complaint. At just 0.6 ounces and 2.2 inches long, it adds a mounting solution without adding any noticeable weight to your build. Like the rest of Arisaka Defense gear, it's made in the USA and machined to tight tolerances.
Installation is straightforward with an IP20/T20 Torx driver, which you'll need to supply yourself. Arisaka recommends torquing the M-LOK screws to 30 inch pounds with a medium strength threadlocker so it stays locked down through recoil and range days. The hardware comes in the box, so once you've got a driver and some blue Loctite you're ready to go.
It gives you three extra half M-LOK slots at a 40-degree offset so you can mount accessories in spots your handguard doesn't normally cover, like the 1:30 and 10:30 clock positions. That makes it great for placing a hot button or tape switch right under your thumb. It's also handy on the bottom slots for angling a vertical grip out to one side.
