If you have ever tried to run a full Scout light next to your front sight and cursed the bulky factory clamp getting in the way, this is the fix. The Arisaka 18650 Series Light Body strips out the stock Picatinny clamp interface entirely, which opens up a lot more room for your front sight and tucks the light in tight against the handguard. It is built specifically for Surefire M600DF and M640DFT Scout light guts, so your existing head, tailcap, and 18650 or dual fuel setup carry right over.
Because the clamp is gone, you gain the most clearance when you pair this body with the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount on handguards that have 45 degree mounting surfaces next to the top rail. The underside still keeps the standard mounting holes and square lug interface, so it also drops into just about any aftermarket Scout style mount you already own. For folks running the M640DFT, this is a smart way to get off the finicky "pro" swivel body and back onto a solid, no-nonsense mounting setup.
The body is CNC machined from 6061-T651 aluminum and hard coat anodized to MIL-A-8625 Type III spec. The FDE version gets a coat of Magpul FDE Cerakote laid right over that anodizing, so you get color plus an extra layer of protection against wear and the elements. It weighs in at roughly 0.6 ounces, which means you are not adding any real bulk to your rifle. Buna-N O-rings come in the box to keep everything sealed up, and the whole thing is made in the USA and backed by Arisaka's lifetime warranty.
