Description

The Law Tactical ARIC-C takes one of the coolest tricks in the AR world and packs it into a single drop-in unit. Instead of running a folding stock adapter alongside a standard bolt carrier group, buffer, and recoil spring, the ARIC-C rolls all of those functions into an internal carrier that lives inside the upper. Pair it with a Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter and your rifle can actually fire with the stock folded, which opens up a whole different set of options for how you store, carry, and deploy the gun. This particular version, the "C" carrier, is set up for unsuppressed use with 5.56mm NATO and .223 Remington.

What the ARIC-C Actually Replaces

Think of this as a full recoil system swap. The ARIC-C stands in for the traditional bolt carrier group, recoil spring, and buffer all at once, keeping everything contained inside the receiver. That is the whole reason it can cycle with the stock folded, since it no longer relies on a buffer tube extending into the stock. The tradeoff most builders are chasing here is a shorter, more packable rifle that still runs a full-length barrel and normal velocity.

Living With the ARIC-C

One of the nicer parts of this system is that it stays true to how an AR is supposed to work. Once installed, the ARIC-C needs no tools for removal, reinstall, cleaning, or maintenance. Each piece field strips so you can inspect or swap components by hand, which keeps range day and cleanup about as simple as a standard carrier. Folks who have run it tend to point to the solid construction and how familiar the upkeep feels.

Backwards Compatible With Your Standard Setup

Because it plays nice with standard AR-15 parts, you are not locked in. You can pull the ARIC-C and drop your normal BCG, buffer, and spring back in without tools whenever you want the rifle in its traditional configuration. That flexibility is a big part of the appeal, letting one lower do double duty. Keep in mind the "C" is built specifically for unsuppressed shooting, so if you plan to run a can, the ARIC-M is the version tuned for that job thanks to its different venting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the ARIC-C internal carrier replace on my AR-15?

The ARIC-C takes the place of your standard bolt carrier group, recoil spring, and buffer, combining all of those functions into one internal carrier that sits inside the receiver. Because it does not depend on a buffer tube running into the stock, it lets the rifle cycle even with the stock folded when used with a Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter. It is a full recoil system swap rather than a single part.

Can I run a suppressor with the ARIC-C?

The "C" carrier is built specifically for unsuppressed use with .223 Remington and 5.56mm NATO. If you plan to shoot suppressed, the ARIC-M is the version designed for that, since it has additional venting to run reliably behind a can. Rifles with an adjustable gas block may have more flexibility, but for a standard gas system the C is the unsuppressed option.

Do I need special tools to install or maintain the ARIC-C?

No tools are needed. Once installed, the ARIC-C can be removed, reinstalled, cleaned, and field stripped entirely by hand. Maintenance is about as familiar as cleaning a standard AR-15 bolt carrier group.

Can I switch back to a normal BCG later?

Yes. The ARIC-C is fully backward compatible with standard AR-15 components, so you can pull it and reinstall your traditional bolt carrier group, buffer, and recoil spring without tools whenever you want the rifle in its conventional setup. That flexibility lets one lower serve both roles.
