Description

If you've been running a Harris bipod on a sling swivel stud and wishing you could slide it around an ARCA rail or pull it off in a hurry, this is the piece that gets you there. The Area 419 Harris Bipod ARCALOCK Clamp Kit replaces the factory swivel stud mounting platform with a Harris adapter and the ARCALOCK clamp base, so your old bipod suddenly plays nice with modern rail systems. It's built for the "S" (swivel) type Harris bipods, and it keeps things simple by working with either the factory tensioning screw or a KMW Pod Loc if you've already got one on there.

The magic here is in the ARCALOCK clamp itself. Instead of relying on friction like a standard ARCA setup, the clamp uses a two-stage screw with two different thread pitches. The coarse threads let you move fast with no tension on the clamp, then it switches to finer threads under load to give you extra clamping torque. On an ARCALOCK rail, about a quarter turn pops the clamp out of the detents so you can reposition, and the serrated rail sides mechanically lock it in place so nothing walks loose under recoil. Pull two pins and the clamp is backwards compatible with any standard ARCA/1.5-inch dovetail rail, giving you infinite sliding adjustment.

Sliding the bipod fore and aft for barricade work, pinching it against a magwell, or yanking it off completely for storage all become tool-free, one-hand jobs. Built the Area 419 Way

Like the rest of the Area 419 lineup, the clamp and hardware are machined in-house from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in Type III black hardcoat anodize, so it holds up to real field abuse. One thing worth knowing up front: this kit does not work in conjunction with the barricade stop. If you want barricade stop function with a Harris, that's a separate Barricade Kit designed around the Harris spring mechanism.
