Anyone who has ever jammed a rifle onto a barricade and watched their bipod or bag stop creep forward knows the weak point of a standard ARCA setup: it relies on friction alone. Area 419 built the ARCALOCK system to fix exactly that. The 14" Universal rail runs serrated sides that mate with the proprietary ARCALOCK clamp, giving you a mechanical lock instead of a friction hold. Once it clicks in, it does not budge, no matter how hard you load into a prop.
The rail gives you 65 locking positions across its length, so dialing in bipod height or barricade position takes a second and holds solid. The serrations are machined smooth enough that they will not chew up your bags or your hands, which is a detail you appreciate on a long match day. Being a full 14 inches, it extends past most stocks for forward bipod mounting, giving you more real estate to spread your support and load the gun the way you want.
The included clamp uses Area 419's two-stage screw. The coarse 16tpi threads let the clamp slide fast when there is no tension, then it switches to fine 32tpi threads as it tightens for real clamping torque. About a quarter turn releases it from the detents so you can reposition on the fly. The clamp bolts directly to Atlas bipods using their factory hardware, and the barricade stop can ride standalone or sandwich between the bipod and clamp.
This is a natural fit for PRS, NRL, and NRL22 shooters who spend their day moving between barricades, tank traps, and rooftops. The clamp and knob are machined in-house from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hardcoat anodized finish, and the whole kit stays backward compatible with standard 1.5" ARCA rails when you pull the pins. It mounts up in minutes on common stocks and chassis and rewards you with a rock-solid platform that holds zero position under real pressure.
Yes. The ARCALOCK clamp is backward compatible with standard 1.5" ARCA dovetail rails by removing the pins, which gives you infinite sliding adjustment on those rails. You only get the positive mechanical lock and 65 detent positions when running it on an Area 419 ARCALOCK rail.
The clamp bolts directly to Atlas bipods using their factory hardware, and the barricade stop can be run standalone or sandwiched between the clamp and an Atlas bipod. The barricade stop does not directly work with Harris bipods, so you would need the separate Harris adapter for that setup.
That is exactly what the 14-inch length is built for. It extends past most stocks so you can mount your bipod well forward, which spreads your support and helps you load into the gun. Shooters running PRS and NRL matches tend to favor the longer rail for that extra positioning room.
No. The serrated sides are machined to lock tight with the clamp but are not sharp, so they will not tear up your rear bags or catch your hands during a match. It is a design detail that holds up well over long days on the range.
