Running a Thunder Beast 338 Ultra on a big magnum is great until you want that same rifle wearing a Sidewinder brake for a match or a practice day. That is exactly the problem this mount solves. The Area 419 Sidewinder Suppressor Mount (419ADT_SW_BA) torques into the rear of your TBAC BA series suppressor and converts it to a direct thread fit for the Sidewinder Universal Adapter on your barrel. From there, swapping between the brake and the can takes seconds and zero tools, which is a big deal when you are working with heavy rifles and hot barrels.
Unlike the Sidewinder brake itself, this mount does not use a timing collar. It gets torqued into the suppressor, and Area 419 recommends a drop of blue thread locker on the external threads so it stays put semi-permanently in the can. The mount then spins onto the universal adapter with left-hand threads, a smart detail that keeps the can from loosening under fire and prevents the mount from backing out when you remove the suppressor. Return to zero on this system is excellent, so pulling the can off between stages will not send you chasing your dope.
This version fits the Thunder Beast 338 Ultra along with the 338BA and 30BA, and it is machined to meet the suppressor maker's thread specs. The black nitride finish is there to fight galling and corrosion, and the whole thing adds very little length to your setup compared to stacking adapters over a factory brake. A wrench comes in the package to make the initial install straightforward.
This is part of the Sidewinder system specifically, so it pairs with Sidewinder brakes and Sidewinder Universal Adapters only. Sidewinder and Hellfire parts do not interchange, so double check which system is on your barrel. If you already run a Sidewinder brake on your magnum and a TBAC BA can sits in your safe, this mount ties the two together about as cleanly as it gets.

No, and this trips people up. The Sidewinder and Hellfire systems use different sized parts and do not interchange, so this mount only works with Sidewinder Universal Adapters. Check which adapter is on your barrel before ordering.
You need a Sidewinder Universal Adapter installed on your muzzle threads. One comes with every Sidewinder brake, or you can buy extras to set up multiple rifles for the same can. Once the adapter is on the barrel, the suppressor threads on and off in seconds with no tools.
It torques into the rear of the can using the included wrench, and Area 419 recommends blue thread locker on the external threads to keep it semi-permanent.
