Description

The Archangel Nomad takes a plain-Jane Ruger 10/22 carbine and gives it a modern, military-style folding look with real functionality behind it. It's a drop-in conversion, so you don't need a gunsmith or a bench full of tools to make the swap. The chassis is built from carbon fiber and glass reinforced polymer over an aluminum-reinforced spine, which keeps the whole setup tough while still coming in light at right around 3 pounds with the magazine loaded.

What the Nomad Folding Stock Brings to Your 10/22

The headline feature is the side-folding buttstock with a rubber recoil pad. Fold it up and your rifle shrinks from a 36.75-inch overall length down to about 28.375 inches with a standard 18.5-inch barrel, which makes it a lot easier to stash in a pack, a truck, or a range bag. The rifle still fires with the stock folded, so it stays useful even when it's collapsed. You also get two internal storage compartments for spare parts, tools, or a cleaning kit.

Rails, Sights, and Handling on the Archangel Nomad

Up top is a full-length, aluminum-reinforced Picatinny rail that gives you plenty of real estate for a red dot, scope, or backup irons. It comes with a front and rear sight set that adjusts for windage and elevation with two apertures, so you're ready to shoot right out of the box. The ventilated forend has its own accessory rail plus an aluminum hand stop with an integrated sling mount, and there are three QD sling swivel sockets spread around the chassis for however you like to carry.

Built for the Plinker Who Wants More

ProMag rounded things out with an extended magazine release and an extended, enhanced bolt release that make running the gun quicker and easier. It also ships with an aluminum flash hider that fits standard OEM barrels and a dummy suppressor for the tactical look. Made in the USA, the Nomad is a great pick for plinkers, trainers, and anyone who wants that G36-style rimfire build without breaking the bank.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a gunsmith to install the Archangel Nomad stock?

No, the Nomad is a drop-in conversion designed to install at home without gunsmithing. You transfer your Ruger 10/22 barreled action into the new chassis using basic tools. Plenty of folks knock it out in an afternoon, and there are step-by-step videos online if you want to follow along.

Will the Nomad fit any Ruger 10/22?

It's built for the standard Ruger 10/22 carbine chambered in .22 LR with a standard-profile barrel. Bull barrels, heavy contours, and some aftermarket setups won't drop in cleanly. If your rifle is a factory carbine, you're in good shape.

Can I shoot the rifle with the stock folded?

Yes, the side-folding buttstock does not block operation, so the rifle still fires when it's folded. That said, folding it is mainly for compact storage and transport since it drops the overall length by roughly 8 inches. For actual shooting you'll want it unfolded for a proper cheek weld and sight picture.

What magazine comes with the Archangel Nomad?

This version ships with the AA922-A1, a 25-round .22 LR magazine styled to match the chassis with a STANAG-inspired look. It's designed to feed reliably in the 10/22 platform. Standard Ruger 10/22 rotary and BX-series magazines will also work if you want to add more.
