Description
The Superlative Arms .936" Titanium Adjustable Gas Block is one of the smartest ways to take control of how your AR-15 or AR-10 runs. Most adjustable blocks work by restricting gas flow, which chokes the port down and forces the excess out the muzzle. Superlative went a different direction with their patented Bleed Off design. Instead of holding gas back, this block vents the extra pressure forward out of the front of the block, feeding the bolt carrier only what it needs to cycle and letting the rest escape. The payoff is a rifle that runs cooler, cleaner, and with noticeably less felt recoil for quicker follow-up shots.
Why the Bleed Off Design in This .936" Titanium Block Matters
The real advantage shows up on suppressed and short-barrel builds where over-gassing and blowback to the face are a constant headache. Because the adjustment screw does not choke the gas flow in bleed off mode, you avoid the erosion, screw seizing, and carbon-related detent problems that plague conventional adjustable blocks. There's also a built-in safety stop so you won't accidentally back the screw all the way out while dialing things in. If you want a traditional restricting-style block, you can run it that way too. It effectively does the work of three different gas block types.
Titanium Build and Fitment on the .936" Adjustable Gas Block
Machined from ultra-tough, lightweight titanium and finished in a Grey DLC coating, this block is built to shrug off heat and hard use while keeping weight down on precision and lightweight builds. It's sized for a .936" barrel journal and mounts using the included set screws, making it a clean fit for barrels already dimpled for a set screw block. The low-profile shape tucks neatly under most free-float handguards, and adjustments are handled with the included L-shaped hex tool.
Superlative Arms brings decades of aerospace machining background to their gas block line, and it shows in the fit and finish. For anyone tuning a build for softer recoil, less gas in the face, or reliable suppressed shooting, this is about as dialed-in as gas blocks get.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Bleed Off design different from a normal adjustable gas block?
Conventional adjustable blocks restrict the gas port to slow flow back to the bolt carrier, which sends excess gas out the muzzle and can lead to screw erosion and carbon buildup. The Superlative Arms block instead vents that excess gas forward out of the front of the block, feeding the carrier only what it needs. This lets the system run cleaner and cooler with less felt recoil. Because the screw isn't choking flow in bleed off mode, you avoid the seizing and detent problems common to restricting-style blocks.
Will this .936" gas block fit my barrel?
This model is sized for a .936" barrel journal at the gas port area, so grab a set of calipers and measure your barrel's diameter right where the gas block sits before ordering. Superlative also offers .625", .750", and .875" versions for other barrel profiles. If your barrel measures .936", this is your block.
Is the set screw or clamp-on version better for my build?
This is the solid set screw model, which works best on barrels that already have a dimple at the gas port location for the screws to seat into. Set screw blocks tend to sit slimmer under handguards, so they clear more slim-profile rails than a clamp-on. If your barrel isn't dimpled and you'd rather not dimple it, the clamp-on version is worth a look instead.
Is titanium worth it over a stainless or Melonite gas block?
Titanium gives you a lighter block that still handles the heat and abuse a gas block sees, which matters on lightweight and precision builds where every ounce counts. The Grey DLC finish adds solid wear and corrosion resistance on top of that. Performance-wise it works identically to the steel versions, so the choice really comes down to weight savings and finish.
