The B5 Systems Collapsible Precision Stock, or CPS, takes the comfortable cheek profile B5 built its name on with the SOPMOD and Bravo stocks and adds real precision-rifle adjustability. This is the Long version in Wolf Gray, and it slides right onto any Mil-Spec carbine receiver extension. What sets it apart from a run-of-the-mill collapsible stock is the fine tuning: both the cheek riser and the buttpad move on precision dials, so you can get your eye lined up behind your optic and your length of pull matched to your build without settling for close enough.
Wobble is the enemy of a good cheek weld, and B5 handled that with a set of internal tensioners that clamp down on the buffer tube and keep everything locked up tight. You get gross length of pull adjustment through a pull-down lever with a lockout, so quick changes stay put once you set them. The adjustment ranges land the length of pull around 8.5 to 9.2 inches and the comb from roughly 4.35 to 4.78 inches, which covers most body types and optic heights with room to spare.
This stock plays well with the rest of your setup. Underneath there's an M-LOK slot for a monopod or other accessory, plus mounting slots up top for B5's accessory cheekpiece if you want to go taller. Sling options are covered with ambidextrous fixed loops and steel anti-rotational QD mounts, and the hardware is color-matched to the Wolf Gray finish. The no-slip cushioned buttpad keeps it planted on your shoulder.
The Long designation matters here. B5 optimized this one for side-charging uppers and rifles running a LAW side-folding adapter, where the cheekpiece position clears everything without a fight. Built from Mil-Spec polymer and finishes and made in the USA, it weighs in right around 20.65 ounces. If you're putting together a serious rifle you want to trust, this is a stock that rewards the effort.
It's built to fit standard Mil-Spec carbine receiver extensions, so if your AR runs a common Mil-Spec carbine buffer tube, you're good to go. It won't fit commercial-spec tubes, which are slightly larger in diameter. The internal tensioners take up any slack so it sits tight with no rattle.
The Long has the cheekpiece positioned to work best with side-charging uppers and rifles running a LAW side-folding adapter. The Medium moves the cheekpiece rearward so it clears the charging handle on a standard AR-15 even when fully collapsed. If you're on a conventional AR, the Medium is usually the better pick, while the Long shines on folders and side chargers.
