The ACT is the real reason to grab this kit over a basic LPK. ALG didn't redesign the wheel here. They took a proven mil-spec trigger, kept the same sear geometry for reliability, then polished the sear surfaces and treated the parts with their HardLubing process. The trigger itself is nickel-boron plated for hardness and corrosion resistance, while the hammer, disconnector, and pins get a nickel-Teflon coating that drops friction and smooths things out. The result is a single-stage pull that ditches the gritty, stagey feel of a stock trigger and breaks clean. Folks who run them tend to describe the difference as night and day, and more than a few call it the best value trigger they own.
Beyond the trigger group, you get every pin, spring, and detent needed to assemble a complete lower. That covers the bolt catch and its plunger, spring, and roll pin, the mag release assembly, safety selector with detent and spring, buffer retainer and spring, trigger guard with roll pin, and the takedown and pivot pins with their detents and springs. The one thing it skips is a pistol grip, so plan to source that separately.
The ACT ships with two hammer springs. The full-power spring lands the pull around 6 pounds and gives you positive ignition across all ammo, which is what most people run and forget about. The lighter purple reduced-power spring drops it closer to 4.5 pounds for a cleaner feel, better suited to range and target work. Worth noting the lighter spring can cause light primer strikes on hard-primered ammo, so stick with the full-power spring for any defensive or duty role.
