D&H Industries has been building magazines for AR platforms for a long time, and this 25-round steel mag is a good example of why their name gets tossed around at the range so much. It's cut for the 6.8 SPC round but also plays nice with .224 Valkyrie, so if you run either caliber in your AR-15, M16, or M4, this one drops right in and gets to work. The whole thing is built here in the States and made to spec that goes well past what the military asks for.
The body is carbon steel, which gives it that reassuring heft and rigidity you don't always get from polymer. On top of that steel is a Nitrocarburized QPQ Hostile Environment finish, which is a fancy way of saying it shrugs off rust, moisture, and general abuse a whole lot better than a bare mag would. If you hunt in wet weather or just tend to be hard on your gear, that finish earns its keep.
Inside you've got a Magpul anti-tilt follower paired with a 17-7PH stainless steel spring. That combo is the real reason these things feed so smoothly round after round. The follower keeps cartridges sitting square as the spring pushes them up, so you get consistent presentation to the bolt and fewer hiccups on the reload. The internal and external geometries are held tight for a clean fit in your mag well.
