This set drops right onto Anschutz rifles (all), the Savage Mark II, and the Savage 93R17, and it also covers the Browning T-Bolt. The bases follow the proven Weaver-style design, which is about as versatile and strong a mounting system as you'll find, letting you run a wide range of Weaver-pattern rings. The two-piece layout keeps weight down and gives you flexibility in ring spacing for different scope lengths.
Full width and depth recoil slots are the real workhorse here. They give the recoil key on your rings maximum bearing surface, which is what keeps everything from creeping under repeated shots. The low profile design is another nice touch, since it sits close to the receiver and lets you still use iron sights when the optic comes off. The bases secure with Torx-style T-15 socket cap screws (the 6-48 mounting screws are included), and Warne recommends torquing them to about 25 inch-pounds with a dab of removable thread locker for the best hold. These are Weaver-style bases, so you'll want Weaver-pattern rings to go with them. One thing worth noting is that base heights can vary between brands, so it's best not to mix a Warne base with another brand's base on the same rifle.
