Description

The Angstadt Arms Vanquish 22 takes a different approach to quiet rimfire shooting. Instead of hanging a can off the muzzle, the suppression is built right into an 18.5 inch barrel assembly that drops into your Ruger 10/22 in place of the factory tube. Precision porting bleeds gas off progressively as the bullet travels down the bore, which pulls standard velocity .22 LR down to subsonic speeds before it ever leaves the muzzle. The result is a shot that sounds like you loaded heavy subsonics, using the bulk ammo you already have on the shelf.

Why the Vanquish 22 Skips the Baffles

The patented zero baffle design is the real story here. With no baffle stack, there is no lead caking up inside a core, no first round pop, and no possibility of a baffle strike. Cleaning goes from a tedious scrub session to basically a wipe down. And because this is a fully rifled Shaw barrel in 416R stainless steel with a Bentz match chamber and button rifling, you are not trading accuracy for silence. Angstadt built this to shoot tighter than a factory 10/22 barrel, not just quieter. A 6061 aluminum shroud with a high temp black Cerakote finish keeps the whole assembly protected and keeps weight down to a very manageable 1.3 pounds.

Dropping the Vanquish Into Your 10/22

Installation is about as painless as it gets. The assembly measures 0.920 inch in diameter, the same as a standard bull barrel, so it works with any 10/22 stock cut for a bull profile. Pull your factory barrel, seat this one, and you are ready for the range. It balances like a normal rifle too, without the nose-heavy feel of a muzzle-mounted suppressor.

For backyard plinking, pest control, small game, or introducing someone new to rimfire without the noise, the Vanquish 22 is one of the cleanest routes to a quiet 10/22 you will find. Made in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Vanquish 22 fit my current 10/22 stock?

It fits any 10/22 stock that accepts a 0.920 inch bull barrel, since the shroud matches that diameter exactly. Because aftermarket stock tolerances vary a bit between makers, a little minor hand fitting can be needed with some stocks. Note that it is designed for standard right-hand 10/22 receivers, and a separate takedown version exists for 10/22 Takedown rifles.

Do I need subsonic ammo to shoot the Vanquish 22 quietly?

No, and that is one of its best tricks. The ported barrel bleeds gas along the bore, dropping standard velocity .22 LR to subsonic speeds before the bullet exits, so cheap bulk ammo runs quiet. One heads up on ammo choice: the Bentz match chamber will not accept CCI Stinger, since its case is longer than a standard .22 LR case. CCI Velocitor is the better pick if you want a high velocity load.

How do you clean an integrally suppressed barrel like this?

This is where the zero baffle design earns its keep. There is no baffle stack to trap lead and carbon, so there is nothing to disassemble and scrub after a range day. Run the bore like you would any rifle barrel and wipe down the exterior, and you are done. It also means baffle strikes are physically impossible.

Is the Vanquish 22 quieter than putting a regular can on a 10/22?

It holds its own against traditional setups, especially with standard velocity ammo, since the porting eliminates the supersonic crack entirely and there is no first round pop. The full-length 18 inch class models are the quietest in the Vanquish 22 lineup because the design relies on internal volume for sound reduction. You also keep a normal rifle balance instead of adding several inches of can past the muzzle.
