The Angstadt Arms Vanquish 22 takes a different approach to quiet rimfire shooting. Instead of hanging a can off the muzzle, the suppression is built right into an 18.5 inch barrel assembly that drops into your Ruger 10/22 in place of the factory tube. Precision porting bleeds gas off progressively as the bullet travels down the bore, which pulls standard velocity .22 LR down to subsonic speeds before it ever leaves the muzzle. The result is a shot that sounds like you loaded heavy subsonics, using the bulk ammo you already have on the shelf.
The patented zero baffle design is the real story here. With no baffle stack, there is no lead caking up inside a core, no first round pop, and no possibility of a baffle strike. Cleaning goes from a tedious scrub session to basically a wipe down. And because this is a fully rifled Shaw barrel in 416R stainless steel with a Bentz match chamber and button rifling, you are not trading accuracy for silence. Angstadt built this to shoot tighter than a factory 10/22 barrel, not just quieter. It fits any 10/22 stock that accepts a 0.920 inch bull barrel, since the shroud matches that diameter exactly. Because aftermarket stock tolerances vary a bit between makers, a little minor hand fitting can be needed with some stocks. One heads up on ammo choice: the Bentz match chamber will not accept CCI Stinger, since its case is longer than a standard .22 LR case. CCI Velocitor is the better pick if you want a high velocity load.
