Description
Big-bore cans have a habit of being heavy, loud, or both. The AnechoX 45 from Anechoic takes a different route. At 6.6 inches long and about 9.1 ounces with the direct thread adapter installed, it hangs off the muzzle of a .458 Win Mag hunting rifle without wrecking the balance, and it's just as happy on a .45 ACP pistol, a 44 Mag, a 454 Casull, or a 450 Bushmaster. Maximum bullet diameter is .458, which covers a huge swath of the fun stuff most suppressors can't touch.
Built Tough Where the AnechoX 45 Takes the Abuse
This isn't bargain-bin titanium. Anechoic builds the AnechoX line from Grade 5 STA 1000 titanium and backs it up with 17-4 H900 stainless in the blast chamber and blast baffles, the two spots that eat the worst of the heat and pressure. Inside, the X-Baffle Anechoic Chamber System uses an interrupted central tube to manage gas flow, and the result is up to 32 dB of sound reduction along with a real bite taken out of recoil. It's full-auto rated to 100 rounds of .45 ACP and handles rapid fire on hard-kicking rifle cartridges within the manufacturer's stated round counts. This raw titanium version wears its natural silver finish, so there's no coating to scratch or wear through.
Mounting and Maintenance on the AnechoX 45
A 5/8×24 direct thread adapter comes installed, and the rear of the can uses the industry-standard 1-3/8×24 thread pattern. That means HUB mounts, pistons, boosters, tri-lugs, and QD systems from across the industry will bolt right up, so one suppressor can float between a threaded pistol and your deer rifle. It's fully user serviceable too, which matters when you're running dirty pistol ammo, and Anechoic covers it with a lifetime warranty. A Flow-Cap and a caliber-specific Quiet Cap are both included, letting you tune the front end for backpressure or maximum quiet depending on the day. One heads-up from the maker: like all titanium cans, expect a little sparking downrange for the first hundred rounds or so while it breaks in. After that, it settles in and just works.

Frequently Asked Questions
What calibers can the AnechoX 45 handle?
It's rated for bullet diameters up to .458 inches, which covers .45 ACP, 44 Mag, 454 Casull, 450 Bushmaster, 45-70 +P, and rifles up to .458 Win Mag. It will also suppress smaller centerfire calibers, though a caliber-matched can like the AnechoX 30 will squeeze out better sound performance on those. Keep round counts within the manufacturer's ratings on the hottest magnum cartridges.
What mounts work with the AnechoX 45?
The rear of the suppressor uses the industry-standard 1-3/8×24 thread pattern, so it accepts HUB-pattern mounts, pistons, Nielsen devices, boosters, tri-lugs, and QD systems from a wide range of makers. A 5/8×24 direct thread adapter comes installed from the factory. For a .45 ACP pistol with a tilting barrel, you'll want to add a piston or booster assembly for reliable cycling.
Can I take the AnechoX 45 apart to clean it?
Yes, it's fully user serviceable, which is a real plus if you shoot a lot of dirty pistol ammo through it. You can break it down, clean the baffles, and put it back in service without sending it off. Anechoic also backs the can with a lifetime warranty.
Does the raw titanium finish hold up outdoors?
Titanium is naturally corrosion resistant, so the bare silver finish doesn't need a coating to survive weather, sweat, or field use. It may pick up some heat coloring and character over time, but that's cosmetic. If you'd rather have a coated look, Anechoic offers this same can in Cerakote finishes.
