Description

The American Defense AD-MRO-L-STD is a purpose-built quick detach mount for the Trijicon MRO, and it is the lowest mount American Defense makes for that optic. It sets the center of the MRO at a .99" centerline height, which keeps everything tucked close to the rail. That low setup works great on raised rails or rifles with a low stock comb where you want the dot sitting as flat as possible.

What Sets the AD-MRO-L-STD Apart

The heart of this mount is American Defense's patented QD Auto Lock lever system. You can fully adjust the tension by hand or with a flat blade screwdriver, no proprietary tools needed, and the lever can be configured to lock toward the front or the rear depending on how your setup is laid out. The clamping surface is designed for maximum contact with the Picatinny rail, which is what gives it that confident lock-up and reliable return to zero when you detach and remount the optic. It also plays nice with both in-spec and out-of-spec rails, so you are not fighting fitment issues on older or budget receivers.

Build Quality on the Trijicon MRO Low Mount

Like every American Defense mount, this one is precision CNC machined from a solid block of 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a hard coat Type 3 Mil-Spec anodize. That combo keeps the weight down to a featherweight 1.8 ounces while giving you a finish that shrugs off abuse. It is made in the USA and backed by American Defense's lifetime warranty, so it is built to ride on a working gun.

This is the standard lever version in matte black, a clean choice for anyone running an MRO on an AR platform or any flat-top Picatinny setup who wants a dependable, low-slung, tool-free QD mount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which optic does the AD-MRO-L-STD fit?

This mount is built specifically for the Trijicon MRO (Miniature Rifle Optic). It is not a universal red dot mount, so it is designed around the MRO footprint for a precise fit.

How low does the Trijicon MRO sit in this mount?

The AD-MRO-L-STD places the center of the optic at a .99" centerline height, which is the lowest mount American Defense offers for the MRO. That keeps the dot sitting close to the rail, making it a good match for raised rails or a low stock comb.

Do I need special tools to install or adjust it?

No. The patented QD Auto Lock lever system lets you adjust tension with your finger or a flat blade screwdriver, so there are no proprietary tools required. The lever can also be configured to lock toward the front or the rear depending on your setup.

Does the mount hold zero when I take the optic off and put it back on?

Yes. The QD Auto Lock lever provides a solid lock-up with excellent return to zero when you detach and remount it on the same rail position. The clamping surface is designed for maximum rail engagement, which is what makes that repeatability possible.
