The Allen ULTRX Shield Ear & Eye Combo takes the guesswork out of gearing up. Instead of hunting down muffs and glasses separately, you get both in a single package finished in a sharp plum colorway. It's a smart pickup for a first-timer building out a range bag, a parent kitting out the family, or anyone who just wants a spare set to keep in the truck or the shop.
The earmuffs carry a Noise Reduction Rating of 23 dB, which knocks down the sharp crack of gunfire and the drone of power tools while still letting you stay aware of what's happening around you. The headband is adjustable with extra padding, so it settles in without pinching during a long session at the range or an afternoon in the garage. When you're done, the cups fold down flat for easy storage in a bag or on a shelf.
The included safety glasses use high-impact polycarbonate lenses with an anti-scratch coating, so they can shrug off debris and hold up to real-world handling. There's also an anti-fog coating baked in to keep your view clear when the weather turns humid or you start working up a sweat. The clear lens is a versatile pick that works indoors, outdoors, and anywhere lighting gets tricky.
This set is built for the range, but it doesn't stop there. It's right at home running a chainsaw, mowing the yard, working with power tools, or handling any job where flying debris and loud noise are part of the deal. The combo meets ANSI S3.19 and ANSI Z87 standards, so you're getting protection that's been put through its paces. For basic, dependable coverage that pairs eye and ear protection in one grab-and-go kit, the ULTRX Shield is tough to beat.
The ULTRX Shield earmuffs at 23 dB do a solid job for most outdoor and general range use, cutting down the sharp report of gunfire while keeping you aware of your surroundings. If you're shooting indoors or running larger calibers, a lot of people like to double up with foam plugs underneath the muffs for extra coverage. For basic range days, plinking, and workshop tasks, 23 dB is a dependable level of protection.
Yes, the clear polycarbonate lenses are the most versatile option in the lineup. They work well indoors, in low light, and outdoors where you want maximum visibility without a tint changing what you see. The anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings help keep the view clear whether you're at the range or running tools in the shop.
Absolutely. The combo is a natural fit for yard work, running a chainsaw, mowing, woodworking, and general power tool projects. The earmuffs tame loud noise while the impact-rated glasses keep debris out of your eyes, so it pulls double duty around the house and shop.
They do. The ULTRX Shield earmuffs are built with a foldable design that collapses down flat, making them easy to toss in a range bag or tuck onto a shelf. The adjustable padded headband also helps them settle in comfortably for longer sessions.
