Rotate the gate open to expose the swivel pin, slide the pin through the hole in your swivel stud, then close the gate so its hole lines back up with the pin. Turn the knurled locking screw clockwise until it's tight against the swivel frame, then repeat on the second swivel. No special tools are needed since the knurled screw tightens by hand.
