The Midwest Industries AK Alpha 10" M-LOK Handguard is one of those upgrades that changes how an AK feels the second you pick it up. Machined from 6061 aluminum and finished in a hard coat anodized Flat Dark Earth, it swaps out that old wood or polymer furniture for a rigid, modular platform built to take a beating. At 10 inches and right around 11.4 ounces, it gives you plenty of length to spread your support hand out and stack accessories without turning your rifle into a boat anchor.
The Alpha's real trick is how flexible it is. You can run it as a full handguard, bottom half only, or pair it with the Alpha Series optic mounts, top cover, and railed gas tube options for a fully built-out setup. The adjustable clamp design is made to fit most AKM stamped-receiver rifles, and Midwest tosses in a purpose-built heat shield so extended range sessions stay comfortable on the hand. M-LOK slots run along the sides and bottom, so lights, lasers, hand stops, and grips all bolt on exactly where you want them.
This one is built for AK47 and AK74 AKM pattern rifles with stamped receivers. It will not work on Yugo/M70 guns or milled-receiver builds, so double check what you're running first. Because AK tolerances are all over the map depending on who made your rifle, some builds may need a little light fitting around the handguard cap or retainer to sit perfectly straight. If your barrel isn't dead true or you're not comfortable with the wrench work, a gunsmith can knock the install out quick.
