The clamping system is where this mount earns its reputation. Geissele took the classic nut and bolt method and tightened it up, pulling the mount to your rail with 1,400 pounds of clamping force. Backing that up are three shear lugs that bite into the rail and hold everything locked, which is a big part of why this mount returns to zero so well after you pull it off and put it back on.
