The Aim Sports MMAK02 is a two-piece, drop-in handguard that swaps out your tired factory AK furniture and turns the front end into a proper mounting platform. It matches the standard short Russian handguard length, so the profile stays true to a classic AKM while giving you room for the gear you actually want up front. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a hardcoat black anodize, it holds up to hard use and heat without adding much weight to the rifle.
You get five M-LOK panels spread around the handguard for lights, lasers, foregrips, hand stops, or a bipod, plus a full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail. That top rail is relieved with a grenade sight cutout, which clears the front sight setup on most stamped guns and makes it easier to run a red dot or backup irons across the top. Owners regularly mount iron sights up top and use M-LOK rail covers on the sides to keep hands off a warm handguard during longer range sessions.
