This Advantage Arms conversion kit swaps onto your Gen 3 Glock 26 or 27 frame and lets you run cheap rimfire ammo instead of burning through 9mm or .40. Installation is about as simple as a normal takedown. You pull the factory slide off your Gen 3 subcompact, slide the Advantage Arms unit into place until it locks up, drop in the conversion magazine, and you're set. A worthwhile note from folks who run these: they're happiest on a factory-stock frame, so aftermarket triggers and connectors, the Ghost connector in particular, can throw off reliability. Keep the frame stock and the kit tends to run clean.

Not at all. You remove your factory magazine and slide just like a normal field strip, then slide the Advantage Arms unit on until it locks and insert the conversion magazine. After a couple of practice runs the swap only takes a few seconds.
It runs best on a factory-stock frame. Aftermarket trigger bars and connectors, especially the Ghost connector, can hurt reliability with the conversion. If you've modified your trigger group, expect you may need to go back to stock parts for the smoothest function.
