The Accu-Tac FC-5 G2 is what happens when a bipod gets built with zero shortcuts. Machined from 100% billet 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with high-strength steel hardware, it's the kind of gear folks describe as overbuilt in the best possible way. The wide, lowered center is the whole idea here, letting your rifle settle down between the legs instead of perching on top. That geometry cuts down on wobble and keeps recoil tracking straight back, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to call your own shots at distance.
Mounting is quick and clean. The quick-detach rail clamp locks onto a 1913 Picatinny rail in seconds with no tools needed, and it comes off just as fast when you're packing up. Each leg deploys independently and drops into 4 positions at either 90 or 45 degrees, so you can spread wide for a stable prone platform or tuck things in tight. The ratcheted leg extension gives you 9 height notches running from 6 inches up to 10.6 inches, and because it's ratcheted you don't have to fuss with matching each leg to the same setting. A spring-loaded, one-button retraction snaps the legs back down when you're done.
Where the FC-5 G2 earns its keep is the fine adjustment. It pans and cants, and each function locks down individually with its own adjustable lever, so you can level up on uneven ground and stay put. This version wears steel feet that bite into hard surfaces and shooting benches for repeatable, no-slip contact. The whole thing finishes at right around 30.4 ounces and wears a Type III mil-spec hard anodized coating in flat black that shrugs off range abuse.

This version attaches directly to a standard 1913 Picatinny rail using Accu-Tac's quick-detach clamp. It locks on and comes off in seconds with no extra tools required. You'll want roughly 2.5 inches of rail to seat the mount properly.
The legs run from 6 inches up to 10.6 inches through 9 ratcheted height notches. Because the extension is ratcheted, you can adjust each leg on the fly without having to line them up to identical settings. Legs also deploy at 45 or 90 degrees for a wider or narrower stance.
