The Accu-Tac BR-4 G2 is the shorter, low-slung sibling in the Accu-Tac lineup, built for getting down into a tight prone position where you want the rifle sitting close to the ground. It attaches to a 1913 Picatinny rail through a quick-detach clamp that snugs up by hand, so there's no fumbling with wrenches or tools to get it on and off. The whole thing is machined from 100% billet 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with a Type III hardcoat anodized finish, and it's designed and made in the USA. Once you set behind it, the first thing you notice is how little the rifle wants to move.
This generation adds the features that owners of the original kept asking for. The legs pull down independently and lock into five notch height settings, so you can level the rifle on uneven or sloped ground by setting one leg different from the other. Each leg deploys at either 90 degrees straight down or kicked back to 45 degrees, giving you four leg positions total to dial in your stance. There's also a cant adjustment that locks down tight with a rear throw lever, letting you square up the reticle on off-camber terrain without losing your hold.
PRS and NRL competitors have gravitated to this bipod for good reason, and it works just as well on hunting rigs, airguns, and bolt guns. The wide stance and stiff billet construction soak up recoil and keep the crosshairs settled, which is exactly what you want for that first-round hit. It ships with rubber feet installed, and the feet unscrew so you can swap in optional spikes or claws if you shoot off dirt and soft ground a lot.
