The P320 earned its reputation by being one of the most swappable pistols on the market, and this grip module is exactly why. Drop your existing 9mm, .40 Auto, or .357 SIG manual safety fire control unit into this Carry-size medium shell and you have effectively changed the frame of your pistol without changing the serialized part. It is a factory SIG SAUER piece in coyote tan, so the fit and finish match what came out of the box, and the color has a nice earthy warmth that pairs well with FDE or two-tone slides.
This one is built specifically for the Carry frame, which pairs with the 3.9 inch slide, and it uses the medium circumference that fits the widest range of hand sizes. If a full-size grip felt like a handful or a compact felt too stubby, the Carry medium tends to land right in that comfortable middle ground. The manual safety cutout is molded in, so an FCU that already runs a thumb safety will seat correctly without any extra fitting.
Worth clearing up since it trips a lot of folks up: coyote is a shade of tan, close cousin to FDE, and it is not green or gray no matter how a photo renders on your screen. This shell is made for 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG only and will not work with a .45 ACP setup. One thing to keep in mind is magazines. The newer floor plates with the square detent and SIG mark seat cleanly, while some older mags with the round detent floor plate may need a swap to fit right.
Installing a grip module is one of the more approachable projects on a P320, but if you are not comfortable pulling your FCU and reseating it, a gunsmith can knock it out fast. Either way, this is a clean, low-cost way to refresh the feel and the look of a pistol you already trust.
You supply the parts that make it a functioning pistol. Drop your existing P320 manual safety fire control unit into this shell, then add the matching 9mm, .40 Auto, or .357 SIG slide and barrel. The grip module itself is the shell, so your FCU and slide assembly do the rest.
This module is molded with the manual safety cutout, so it is designed for an FCU that runs a thumb safety. A standard non-safety FCU will physically fit, but you lose the intended function of the cut. If your FCU has no safety, a standard grip module without the cut is the better match.
Coyote is a shade of tan and a close relative to FDE, so it reads as a warm earthy tone rather than green or gray. This shell is built for 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 SIG only and does not work with .45 ACP setups. If your pistol is chambered in one of those three calibers, you are good to go.
Most current mags fit fine. The newer floor plates with the square detent and SIG mark seat cleanly, while some older magazines with the round detent floor plate may need the floor plate swapped to work correctly. If you have older mags on hand, check the floor plate before you head to the range.
