Wilson 6 XC Case Gage is a one-piece gage machined specifically for the 6mm XC cartridge, the wildcat-turned-match favorite that David Tubb developed for NRA High Power competition. It gives you a quick, repeatable way to check where your shoulder sits and how long your cases are running, which matters a lot when you're chasing consistency at distance.
The idea here is dead simple. You drop a fired case into the gage and note the headspace reading, then resize on your current die setting and drop it back in to see how far you've pushed the shoulder back. The milled steps on the gage show you overall length against minimum and maximum, so you'll know right away whether it's time to trim. Pair it with a Wilson Case Gage Depth Micrometer and you can get down to real numbers instead of eyeballing it.
The most valuable thing this gage does is keep you from oversizing. Bumping the shoulder too far is one of the easiest mistakes to make on a press, and it works your brass harder than it needs to, which shortens case life and can lead to separation down the road. One note worth knowing going in: this gage checks headspace and case length, but it does not measure body diameters, and it's meant to be used with fired cases.
