If you run a 6.5 Grendel and care about consistent brass, the L.E. Wilson 6.5 Grendel Fired Case Holder is the piece that keeps your trimming honest. It cradles the case by the body taper rather than the case head, supporting the brass much like the chamber of a rifle. That means every case sits the same way every time, so your trim length, primer pockets, and case necks all come out uniform. It pairs with any model of the L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer and gets used for length trimming, primer pocket reaming, neck reaming, and deburring with the Wilson Uniform Deburring Tool.
This is the FIRED version, which is cut for neck-sized brass that has been through your rifle at least once. Because it holds on the body taper, it hugs the slightly fuller dimensions of fired cases that have not been full-length resized. If your brass is brand new or full-length sized, you would want the New Case version instead. One nice bonus: reloaders have found this same holder works for 6mm ARC brass too, since the two cartridges share a case family.
Using it is about as simple as reloading gear gets. You press the case into the holder, run it through the trimmer, and tap the case mouth to pop it back out. Some folks keep a wooden dowel on the bench to make seating and removing cases a little smoother. There is nothing to adjust and nothing to wear out in normal use.
