The Ballistic Advantage 18" .308 Winchester barrel is built for AR-10 builders who want dependable accuracy without hauling around extra weight up front. Machined from 416R stainless steel and finished with a QPQ corrosion-resistant coating, this DPMS-pattern barrel tips the scale at 41.8 ounces, which keeps your build balanced and easy to swing. It runs a 1:10 twist that pairs well with the heavier .308 bullets most folks reach for, and it comes with a pinned .875" low-profile gas block already installed on a mid-length gas system.
The Hanson profile is Ballistic Advantage's own contour, and it's the reason this barrel feels the way it does. Rather than a boxy step-cut design, it tapers smoothly to shed weight while keeping enough meat behind the chamber to stay rigid. The shoulder-less shape helps the barrel settle back to point of aim quickly between shots, so follow-ups feel more natural. The mid-length gas system on an 18-inch tube gives you a longer dwell time than a carbine setup, which usually translates to a softer, smoother cycle at the range.
The muzzle is cut with 5/8×24 threading, so you can spin on just about any brake, flash hider, or suppressor made for a .308. An 11-degree target crown protects the rifling right at the muzzle where it matters most. Every Premium Series barrel is HP (high pressure) and MPI (magnetic particle inspected) tested before it leaves the shop, and BA backs them with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee when you feed them match-grade ammo.
