It replaces your factory rear sight and gives you a low-profile RMSc mounting surface built right into a single machined block, so your slide stays exactly the way it left the factory. This one is cut from 17-4 stainless steel and finished in black nitride, which shrugs off corrosion and wear and holds up to a lifetime of holstering and range days. Because the mount, rear sight, and optic platform are all one solid unit, there are no stacked plates or extra parts to loosen up over time. That tight, integrated design is what keeps your dot locked to zero when the gun starts working.
The adapter comes with a bright green fiber-optic front sight pre-installed and a tall integrated rear, both cut to co-witness with most RMSc-footprint red dots. The optic is not included, so you'll pair it with your own RMSc-footprint red dot. You'll also use the 6-32 mounting screws that ship with your optic rather than screws from the kit. Just make sure the screws aren't longer than the plate so the adapter seats flush.
