This is a minimalist two-point built by guys who spent years running slings in the field and got tired of the extra bulk, snag points, and metal clank that most designs carry. What you get is a stripped-down sling that still gives you a huge range of adjustment and real comfort where it counts.
The SBS runs on standard 1-inch webbing with a 40-inch adjustable front lead and a 20-inch adjustable tail. Both ends are long on purpose, so whether you're a bigger guy running a full plate carrier or slimming things down for flat range work, there's plenty of length to work with. Once you've got it dialed, you can trim the excess webbing and melt the ends for a clean, personalized fit that isn't flopping around.
The 16-inch neck pad is where this thing really shines. It's wrapped in a four-way stretch Tweave fabric over closed-cell Crosslink padding, so it glides smoothly across your neck or the back of your kit instead of grabbing. Both ends taper down to eliminate snag points when you're slinging the carbine around to your back. The pull-to-adjust slider stays put when you leave it alone and moves easy when you want it to, which is a big step up from the older two-points a lot of folks grew up on.
GBRS ditched the large metal hardware most slings rely on, which drops the weight down to around 2.7 oz and cuts noise signature at the same time. The 4-inch double fold-over pull tab has two center bar tacks you can cut out if you'd rather run a thumb loop. You can set it up as a single or two-point depending on the mounting hardware you add.
