Old iron sights are great until the light gets thin and that little bead disappears into the shadows. The Marble Arms .343" Fiber Optic Glow 34-MR front sight fixes that with a .060" orange optic rod that gathers whatever light is around and glows back at you, so your front sight jumps out against dark timber, brush, or a fading evening sky. It's built on Marble's classic contour that has set the standard for gunmakers since 1900, machined from steel and finished in a polished blue that looks right at home on lever guns, single shots, and older hunting rifles.
This is the ramp-style version, meaning it carries a .340" wide base built to drop into any front sight ramp cut for a 3/8" dovetail. The sight measures .343" tall, taken from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the bead, which is a common replacement height for dialing in your point of impact when a rear peep or open sight has run out of adjustment. The steel body shrugs off knocks in the field far better than plastic-bodied optics, and the fiber rod sits protected in the blade.
Marble front sights are drift adjustable for windage, so you can tap them left or right to center your groups. Like most quality dovetail sights, this one may need a little fitting to seat snug and true. A few passes with a fine file on the base is normal and gives you that tight, rattle-free fit shooters want.
