The Forward Controls Design OPF-G, RMR is a purpose-built optic mounting plate that takes the shortcomings of the factory Glock MOS adapter and corrects them. Where the stock plate is known to let a red dot shift around, this one cradles the sight between machined front and rear recoil lugs that sandwich the optic and keep movement to a minimum. It was developed in collaboration with USMC combat veteran and former USMC Shooting Team head coach Tom Shields, and the whole design is a case of function driving the shape.
Instead of stamped aluminum, this plate is machined from steel and black nitrided, so it holds up to recoil and years of use. It supports the full width of the RMR and SRO, which means you do not need a separate sealer plate to close things up. The plate thickness matches the factory MOS plate exactly, so your optic sits at the same height and you will not need to swap your iron sights. It ships with the correct length plate-to-slide and sight-to-plate screws, plus a Torx key, so you are not hunting down hardware.
The OPF-G, RMR works with Glock MOS Adapter Set 01 slides, covering models like the G17, G19, G34, G35, and G41 running the 25mm (1 inch) slide width. It is designed specifically for the Trijicon RMR and SRO, which share the same footprint. Because the fences are cut to such a tight tolerance and RMRs carry their own spec variance, a little light fitting is sometimes needed to seat the optic. That snug fit is the whole point, it is what keeps your dot from walking under recoil.

It fits Glock MOS slides that use Adapter Set 01, including popular models like the G17, G19, G34, G35, and G41 with the 25mm (1 inch) slide width. It is designed around the factory MOS cut, so your slide needs to be an MOS variant. Double check that your pistol is running the Set 01 plate configuration before ordering.
This plate is built specifically for the Trijicon RMR and SRO, which share the same mounting footprint. Forward Controls Design does not support Holosun sights on it, since the tight front and rear fences are cut to cradle the RMR and SRO specifically. If you are running a Holosun, you will want a plate made for that optic instead.
No. The plate supports the full width of the RMR and SRO on its own, so a separate sealer plate is not necessary. Adding one would only reduce the thread engagement of your sight-to-plate screws for no real benefit.
Not quite. Because RMRs carry a tolerance range and the fences are machined to hug the optic tightly, some light fitting may be needed to fully seat the sight. That snug fit is intentional and is exactly what keeps the optic from shifting under recoil, so a bit of fitting is a fair trade.
