It's made for the 700 BDL long action with a standard sporter/magnum barrel contour, and the whole thing drops right in with your existing action screws. The core is a CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum block that surrounds the action and runs forward into the forend, giving your rifle a stable, consistent foundation from end to end. Over that skeleton sits Hogue's signature OverMolded rubber, chemically and mechanically bonded so it never peels or slides around.
The full-length block is the reason folks step up to this model over the standard pillar-bed versions. It locks the action down solidly and gives you a great platform to build accuracy on. Plenty of owners bolt it on and shoot happily as-is, while others add a quick skim bed around the recoil lug to squeeze out every last bit of consistency. Either way, you're starting from a far stiffer, more repeatable base than the factory tupperware stock.
