The XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot is built around one idea: get your eye on the front sight fast, no matter the lighting. The oversized 0.188-inch front dot combines a tritium vial with a photoluminescent glow ring, so it stays bright in daylight and keeps glowing when the sun goes down and it's not yet dark enough for tritium to take over. Paired with a shallow V-notch rear, your focus naturally drops to that big yellow dot instead of hunting for three tiny aligned pips.
XS offers this front in yellow or orange, and each has its place. Yellow soaks up the most ambient light and glows the brightest in low light, which is why a lot of folks running these for after-dark carry lean toward the yellow face. Orange tends to pop a little harder against busy daylight backgrounds, but if your priority is that gentle glow in a dim room or parking lot, yellow is the one to grab. The rear sight carries a tritium center with a white outline plus a ledge you can catch on a belt or holster for one-handed slide work.
This set is cut specifically for the Sig P239 and drops into the factory dovetails. The whole idea behind the dot-the-"i" sight picture is speed under stress: one big dot on top of one vertical post, no confusing the front and rear when your heart rate is up and your eyes are locked on a threat downrange.
