Description

Modern muzzleloaders are capable of far more reach than most factory iron sights let you take advantage of, and that gap is exactly what this kit closes. Built by Williams and set up specifically for the CVA Accura, Optima, and Wolf, it pairs a micro-adjustable rear peep with a Western front globe so you can stretch your setup from a 100-yard zero out to 300 and beyond without ever reaching for a scope.

What the Micro-Adjust Peep Sight Does Differently

The rear peep is the heart of this kit. Both windage and elevation move in fine, repeatable clicks backed by laser-etched hash marks, so once you find your dope you can return to it every time. The large target knobs are easy to grab and dial even with cold or gloved hands in the field, and set screws lock your settings down so nothing wanders between shots. There's also a flat spot on the vertical elevation section made to hold a custom dope chart, which keeps your holdovers right where you can glance at them.

Pairing With the Williams Western Front Globe

Up front you get the Williams Western globe, which accepts interchangeable reticle inserts with different post widths and holdover points. That lets you tune the sight picture to your eyes, your load, and the light you're hunting in. A lot of folks running this system settle on a crisp crosshair or fine post depending on the distances they shoot, and swapping inserts takes seconds.

Fitment Notes for Your CVA

Sight radius changes by model, which affects how many clicks equal one MOA. The Accura V2 runs roughly 5.8 clicks per MOA, the Accura MR-X and 26-inch Optima about 5.0, the Accura LR-X around 6.1, and the Wolf close to 5.59. It's worth knowing your number before your first range trip so you can chart adjustments efficiently. Installation is straightforward: pull your existing sights, mount the peep and globe with the included screws, and get to sighting in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which CVA muzzleloaders does this peep sight kit fit?

This kit is built specifically for the CVA Accura, Optima, and Wolf models. Sight radius does vary between those rifles, which changes how many clicks equal one MOA, so it helps to know your model's figure before sighting in. If you run a Paramount, note that CVA offers a separate version for that platform.

How far can I realistically shoot with this non-magnified sight?

The system is designed to let you dial in targets from 100 yards out to 300 and beyond, depending on your rifle and load. Because it uses micro-adjust windage and elevation with laser-etched marks, your settings are repeatable once you build a dope chart. Real-world use has folks turning in tight groups at 100 and confidently stretching further with the right holdover reticle.

Can I swap the reticles in the front globe?

Yes. The Williams Western front globe accepts interchangeable inserts with different post widths, styles, and holdover points. That lets you tune the sight picture to your eyes and shooting conditions, and changing an insert only takes a few seconds.

Is this kit hard to install?

Not at all. Installation involves removing your existing sights and mounting the peep and globe with the included screws. Most people with basic tools and moderate experience get it on in a few minutes, then move straight to sighting in.
