Cobalt Kinetics CK-Pro URG 5.56 NATO 14.5″ Barreled Upper – Black

Description

The Cobalt Kinetics CK-Pro URG takes the guesswork out of building a top-tier AR by handing you a complete barreled upper that's already been assembled and function-tested by their in-house gunsmiths. Chambered in .223 Rem/5.56 NATO with a 14.5" barrel and finished in Black Cerakote, it's meant to drop onto your current lower and instantly bring that Cobalt performance edge to a rifle you already own and trust.

What Sets the CK-Pro URG Apart

The heart of this system is Cobalt's reverse-threaded barrel nut design. Instead of relying on a standard mil-spec setup, the barrel seats evenly against a surface machined to tighter tolerances, giving the barrel more thread engagement and letting it reach more of its accuracy potential. The free-floated handguard then locks to the upper through a four-point, eight-screw mounting system that ties everything together into a rigid, near-monolithic package. Reviewers consistently note how solid this makes the front end, which is exactly what you want for holding a zero on an optic or laser.

Built and Checked Before It Ships

Every CK-Pro URG is put together by Cobalt's gunsmith staff and test-fired for function before it heads out the door. That means less time troubleshooting and more time shooting. The 7075 T6 billet upper, seven-sided M-LOK handguard, and Cerakote finish all reflect the tight machining and clean fit that people have come to expect from the Pro line.

Getting It Running

Keep in mind this is a barreled upper, so you'll supply your own bolt carrier group and charging handle to finish it out. Once you've got those installed and paired with your lower, you've got a rifle built around one of the more thoughtfully engineered upper systems on the market. It's a smart route for anyone who wants Cobalt Kinetics quality without committing to a whole new complete rifle.
