The heart of it is a 7.5 inch 416R stainless steel heavy barrel with a 1:8 twist, chambered in .223 Wylde so you can feed it .223 Remington or 5.56 NATO without giving up accuracy with either one. The barrel is threaded 1/2×28 and comes wearing GLFA's ported muzzle brake, which does real work keeping a short-barreled 5.56 platform flat and controllable.
The upper and lower are forged 7075-T6 aluminum wearing a black Cerakote finish, so this thing is built to take honest use, not just look good in the safe. Up front you get a 7.125 inch 6061 aluminum M-LOK handguard with a full-length Picatinny rail up top that lines up with the flat-top receiver, giving you plenty of real estate for a red dot, light, or hand stop. Inside, it runs a pistol-length gas system with a .750 gas block, M4 feed ramps, and a mil-spec trigger in the 5.5 to 6 pound range. It ships optic-ready with no sights, so plan on adding your preferred glass.
