The 2K11 is Kimber's bold entry into the double-stack 1911 market, and they didn't hold back. Built on a stainless steel frame finished in matte KimPro Granite, this is a full-size, single-action pistol that combines the ergonomics and feel of a classic 1911 with the modern features you'd expect from a competition-grade platform. The 5-inch barrel is fluted, ramped, and finished in a brush-polished Coyote PVD coat with 5R rifling and a 1:10 twist rate — it locks up tight and feeds consistently thanks to the ramped design and external extractor.
The slide is cut for optics using an RMR footprint and includes a C&H Precision adapter plate right in the box, so you can mount a Trijicon RMR or compatible optic without hunting for extra hardware. Custom 2K11 front and rear serrations with lightening cuts keep the slide looking purposeful and make it easy to run at speed. Iron sight coverage comes from TAG FiberLok 2 fiber-optic sights up front with an adjustable rear, and additional red and black fiber inserts are included so you can dial in your preference.

C&H Precision also offers additional plates for other footprints like the RMSc, so you have options if you prefer a different optic. This specific SKU (MPN 3500057) is the 10+1 configuration of the 2K11 Stainless Target, shipping with three 10-round magazines. Kimber produces this variant to accommodate areas where standard-capacity magazines are restricted. The pistol itself is identical to the higher-capacity Stainless Target in every other way — same barrel, trigger, grip, and slide.
Kimber's patent-pending guide rod system makes field stripping considerably simpler than most 2011-style pistols. After removing the slide stop and pulling the slide rearward, you twist the end of the guide rod, which compresses and locks the recoil spring in place. From there, takedown proceeds just like a standard 1911 — no special tools, no balancing act with a paperclip.
The 2K11 is compatible with Staccato-pattern 2011 magazines, which gives you solid aftermarket options. Keep in mind that Kimber engineered the frame with a stop to prevent over-insertion and protect the ejector, which means not every 2011 magazine on the market will work — MBX magazines, for example, are known not to seat properly. Sticking with Kimber-branded or Staccato-compatible mags is the safest bet.
