The combination of high velocity and larger shot size means more energy downrange and less lead correction compared to smaller shot sizes.
The Diamond Cut Wad system, pulled from Winchester's acclaimed Blind Side waterfowl line, controls shot release and builds dense patterns at distance. This matters when you're trying to connect with birds working your spread or flaring past the decoys. The wad design is also choke-responsive, so your patterns will be consistent whether you're running improved cylinder, modified, or full choke.

BB shot carries more energy downrange and penetrates better than smaller sizes like 2s or 3s, which is why it's the go-to for large, tough birds. The tradeoff is fewer pellets per shell. In BB you're throwing around 90 pellets per round, compared to 156 with 2s. If you're hunting over decoys where birds work close, BB gives you the killing power you need.

Xpert steel shot shells are corrosion-resistant, but they aren't fully waterproof like some dedicated waterfowl lines. Keep them dry during storage and use. If shells do get wet during a hunt, wipe them dry before firing and store them properly afterward to prevent rust issues.
