The VP9A1 K Tactical is HK's answer to the growing demand for a compact 9mm that's ready for a red dot, ready for a can, and requires zero modification to get there. This is the A1 generation of HK's beloved VP9 platform, meaning it carries over a decade of law enforcement and civilian feedback into a refined, more capable pistol without abandoning what made the original great.
The heart of the Tactical variant is its 4.7" hammer-forged barrel with a threaded muzzle, paired with suppressor-height 3-dot iron sights that provide a lower-third co-witness through a mounted optic and stay visible over the top of most suppressors. The slide features HK's factory optics cut, which accepts up to nine different adapter plates covering footprints from Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C and 509 series, EOTech EFLX, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, Shield RMSc, Vortex, and more. No gunsmithing, no milling, just mount and go.
The A1 platform upgrades are genuine improvements over the original VP9. The trigger bar now gets a nickel-Teflon coating that smooths out travel and delivers a cleaner break, with a pull averaging around five pounds and a reset that's short, positive, and audible. The grip frame drops the polarizing front strap finger grooves, adds a flared magwell for faster reloads, and offers a fully customizable fit through interchangeable backstraps and side panels. HK says you can dial in 45 different grip configurations to fit your hand size and length of pull. Controls are fully ambidextrous, including dual paddle magazine releases and bilateral slide stops, and the slide features updated maritime-pattern serrations front and rear for positive purchase in any conditions.

The factory slide cut on the VP9A1 K Tactical supports up to nine different adapter plates, covering most of the popular red dot footprints on the market today. Compatible optics include the Trijicon RMR and SRO, Holosun 407C, 507C, 509T, and EPS series, EOTech EFLX, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, Shield RMSc, and Vortex Defender CCW, among others. No gunsmithing or milling is required. Just select the appropriate HK adapter plate and mount your optic directly to the slide.
The threaded muzzle on the VP9A1 K Tactical uses an M13.5×1 left-hand thread, which is HK's standard metric pattern across its 9mm threaded-barrel pistols. Most American-market 9mm suppressors are built around a 1/2×28 piston, so you'll need an M13.5×1 LH piston or thread adapter to run a can on this gun. The suppressor-height sights provide a lower-third co-witness through a mounted optic and remain visible over the top of most suppressor bodies.
