This version, the CR6920MPS-FDE, takes that same battle-proven M4 pattern and hands it over to Magpul for the furniture. You get the MOE SL handguard with M-LOK slots, MOE SL collapsible stock, SL pistol grip with that grippy TSP texture, and a vertical grip up front, all in Flat Dark Earth over a matte black barrel and receiver set. It's a sharp looking two-tone setup, and more importantly, it saves you from buying and swapping parts yourself.
Under the furniture is where Colt earns its reputation. The 16.1 inch chrome-lined barrel runs a 1:7 twist, which stabilizes everything from light 55 grain plinking ammo up to heavy 77 grain match loads, so you're not boxed into one bullet weight. Receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum, the gas system is direct impingement carbine length, and the whole rifle comes in around 6.9 pounds. It carries easy, points fast, and holds up to high round counts the way a Colt should.
The fixed A2 front sight post pairs with a Magpul MBUS Gen 2 flip-up rear, so you have a working sight setup the moment you leave the shop. The flat top upper leaves plenty of rail space if you'd rather run a red dot or low power scope, and the M-LOK handguard takes lights and accessories without adding bulk. The six-position stock adjusts from about 32 to 35.5 inches overall, which makes it easy to fit different arm lengths or bulky winter layers.
