Running a suppressor on an AR-10 usually means eating a face full of gas every time you shoot. The Griffin Armament SN-ACH 10 Gen 2 in Terra Brown was built specifically to fix that. Short for Suppressor Normalized Ambidextrous Charging Handle, this is the AR-10 sized variant fitting Armalite AR10, KAC SR25/M110, DPMS LR308, and other rifles that take SR-25/AR10/LR-308 pattern charging handles. If you shoot suppressed or just want a tougher, ambi-friendly handle, this is one of the better options out there.
The headline feature is gas management. The Gen 2 uses a forward-facing 60-degree ejection port instead of the older 90-degree design, which throws blowback forward and off to the side rather than back into your face. Griffin also added an improved gas check groove and a beveled rear shoulder that catches gas escaping from the rear of the receiver and redirects it forward. Tighter machining creates a better seal between the handle and your upper, so less gas sneaks out the back in the first place. The forward-angled port is a real win for left-handed and lefty-mixed shooters, who often got the short end of the stick with older gas-diverting handles.
This isn't just about gas. The bolt carrier hook uses reinforced geometry that Griffin rates at roughly 30 percent stronger than a mil-spec handle and about three times stronger than cheaper 6061 handles that tend to snap under hard charging. It's machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat finish for wear resistance, and the mating surfaces are cut to reduce wobble in the receiver. The Terra Brown finish gives it a clean, earthy look that pairs nicely with FDE and OD builds.
Both sides are usable, so it doesn't matter which hand you run. It ships with the large lever that works well with gloves, and Griffin sells smaller modular levers separately if you'd rather swap to a lower-profile setup without buying a whole new handle. It's a smart system that lets you tune the feel over time.
This is the AR-10 sized version, so it fits Armalite AR10, KAC SR25/M110, DPMS LR308, and other rifles that use SR-25/AR10/LR-308 pattern charging handles. Because upper tolerances vary between manufacturers, fitment on non-standard uppers isn't guaranteed in every case. If your AR-10 takes a standard SR-25 pattern handle, you're in good shape.
