There are small carry guns, and then there is the NAA Wasp. At around 6.2 ounces with a 1 1/8 inch barrel and an overall length under 5 inches, this stainless mini-revolver rides in a pocket, a belt buckle holster, or just about anywhere else without printing or weighing you down. It fires five rounds of .22 Magnum, and this convertible version ships with a second cylinder chambered in .22 Long Rifle, so you can train with inexpensive rimfire ammo and load the hotter stuff when it counts. Swapping cylinders takes seconds once you have done it a couple times, just pull the cylinder pin and drop the other one in.
NAA builds a whole family of these little single actions, but the Wasp brings some extra character to the lineup. You get a vented rib running along the barrel, a skeletonized hammer, a stylized cylinder and cylinder pin, and a black pebbled rubber grip in place of the traditional rosewood panels. That rubber grip is a practical upgrade too, giving your hand something to hang onto when you run magnum loads through a gun this small. Up top, a simple fixed bead front sight keeps the sight picture snag free and appropriate for the close-range role this revolver was built for.
Like all NAA minis, the Wasp is a single action, so you cock the hammer for each shot. The cylinder features halfway notches between chambers, letting the hammer rest securely in a notch so you can carry all five chambers loaded without the firing pin sitting over a live round. It is a simple, proven system that has been the backbone of NAA's reputation for decades.

Yes, this is the convertible version, so it ships with two cylinders. The .22 Magnum cylinder comes installed, and a .22 LR conversion cylinder is included in the box. Swapping between them is a quick, tool-free job of pulling the cylinder pin and exchanging cylinders.
It is, as long as you use the safety cylinder correctly. The cylinder has halfway notches machined between the chambers, and resting the hammer in one of those notches keeps the firing pin off any live round. That lets you carry a full five rounds without worry.
