The B5 Systems BRAVO Stock takes the beloved SOPMOD design and trims off the fat. B5 kept the parts people rely on, then dropped the bulky storage compartment to shave weight and slim down the rear profile. The result is a collapsible buttstock that shoulders fast, sits comfortably, and looks right at home on a woodland camo build.
The biggest difference here is the profile. By ditching the internal storage cells, B5 gave the BRAVO a narrower rear that tucks cleanly into your shoulder pocket. The rear of the stock is angled rather than squared off, which helps it land in the same spot every time you mount up, whether you're running plates or shooting in a t-shirt. You still get the ergonomic cheek weld that made the SOPMOD a favorite, so cheek-to-stock contact stays consistent shot after shot.
This is glass-reinforced polymer, and B5 has a reputation for making these tough. The BRAVO carries color-matched steel hardware, a one-piece anti-rotation QD sling mount, and fixed sling loops, so you've got flexibility no matter how you like to run your sling. One thing worth knowing: the BRAVO is designed for true mil-spec receiver extensions and fits snug on purpose to kill any wobble. If your tube is cerakoted or painted, expect an even tighter fit at first. Give it a little break-in time and it'll loosen up to adjust smoothly. On a bare mil-spec tube, most folks find it slides on and locks up tight with zero rattle, which is exactly what you want out of a stock like this.
It's built for true mil-spec carbine receiver extensions, so it fits those tubes tight to eliminate wobble. It won't fit commercial-spec tubes, since those have a slightly larger diameter. If your tube is coated in cerakote or paint, expect a snug fit at first that eases up with a little break-in.
