Description

Battle Arms Development pretty much wrote the book on modular ambi safeties, and the Bad-Ass-Pro Full-Auto is the refined version of that idea. This is the full-auto configuration with a 0-90-180 degree throw, giving you three selector positions and left- or right-side operation right out of the pack. The center core is Swiss CNC machined from hardened bar-stock steel with a black phosphate finish, while the levers are investment cast 8620 steel, so the whole thing carries a serious, duty-grade feel without a bunch of extra weight.

What Sets the Bad-Ass-Pro Apart

The headline here is the locking system. Instead of the old-style set screws that back out, wiggle, or strip over time, the Bad-Ass-Pro uses a patent-pending dovetail attachment with an internal locking mechanism. There's no exposed screw head to shear off, and the self-locking set screw stays put without needing thread locker. Anyone who has ever chased a loose selector lever mid-range day will understand why this matters. The Swiss-machined center is the reason the throw feels so clean and positive from safe to fire.

Fit and Modularity of the Bad-Ass-Pro Full-Auto

The kit comes with both a standard-length lever and a short lever, and they're fully interchangeable so you can set up either side however you shoot. It's built to drop into all known AR variant lower receivers that use Mil-Spec safety selector hole dimensions, and it plays nice with popular aftermarket triggers from the likes of Geissele, CMC, Timney, and Hiperfire. Installation is straightforward: use the long end of the provided wrench and torque to about 5 in-lbs.

The assembly runs right around 0.74 oz complete, it's made in the U.S.A., and it's backed by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If you want an ambi selector that feels like a real upgrade every time you thumb it, this is one of the good ones.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this Full-Auto version and the standard Bad-Ass-Pro?

This is the full-auto configuration, which uses a 0-90-180 degree throw with three selector positions rather than the semi-auto reversible 90/60 layout. The build quality, dovetail locking core, and steel construction are the same across the line. It's designed to fit lowers and triggers set up for a Mil-Spec full-auto safety selector.

Will the Bad-Ass-Pro fit my AR-15 lower and aftermarket trigger?

It's built to drop into all known AR variant lower receivers that use Mil-Spec safety selector hole dimensions. Battle Arms lists compatibility with popular triggers like Geissele, CMC, Timney, and Hiperfire, so most common aftermarket setups will work. As with any part, there's always a small chance a brand-new or unusual design falls outside what's been tested.

Do I need thread locker to keep the set screws from backing out?

No. The Bad-Ass-Pro uses a self-locking internal set screw designed to stay put on its own, so thread locker isn't required. The patent-pending dovetail design also means there's no exposed screw head to shear off, which is a big reason people upgrade to this selector in the first place.

How do I install the Bad-Ass-Pro Full-Auto selector?

Use the long end of the included wrench and torque the set screw to roughly 5 in-lbs. The kit comes with both a standard and a short lever that are fully interchangeable, so you can configure each side to fit how you shoot. Most people find it a straightforward swap with basic tools.
