The DURAMAG Speed 20-round magazine takes the proven USGI aluminum design and improves it in ways that matter on the range or in the field. Unlike traditional straight-bodied 20-rounders that can jam when rounds dive toward the feed lips, this magazine follows the curved contour of a full 30-round magazine. That curve lets it use a full-size anti-tilt follower, which keeps every round aligned and feeding consistently.
The Speed magazine uses 6061-T6 aluminum welded with full robotic automation, then Type-III hard-coat anodized for durability. The red color you get isn't painted on, it's part of the anodizing process itself and integrated into the metal. This means it won't chip or flake off like surface coatings on cheaper magazines. The entire body gets consistent treatment, inside and out, with a proprietary low-friction T-360 coating that helps even dirty ammunition feed smoothly.
The 20-round format has real advantages that make the Speed line worth the investment. It fits easier in tight shooting positions, rides more comfortably on a belt, and takes up less space in a range bag. Because it follows a 30-round profile, you get the handling and ergonomics people know without fighting with a stubby, short magazine body.
