It is, thanks to a smart design feature. NAA machines halfway notches into the cylinder between the chambers, and when the hammer rests in one of those notches it sits securely away from any live round. Load all five, set the hammer in a notch, and you're good to go.
The hammer must be cocked manually for every shot, and there's no trigger guard, which is part of how the gun stays so small. Loading and unloading is done by removing the cylinder pin and pulling the cylinder out of the frame. It's a deliberate, simple system that takes a little practice but becomes second nature quickly.
The standard 22MC wears rosewood bird's head grips, while this version swaps in rubber grips that give you a tackier hold and a bit more to hang onto. On a gun this small, that extra purchase makes a real difference in control, especially with Magnum loads. Everything else about the revolver is the same proven stainless steel design.
