Description
Grand Power took everything people loved about the 9mm Stribog and scaled it up for .45 ACP, and the result is one of the smoothest shooting big bore pistols in its class. The secret is the roller delayed blowback operating system. Instead of relying on a heavy bolt slamming back and forth like a straight blowback design, the rollers soak up the energy and spread out the recoil impulse. That means the SP45A3 shoots softer than you'd expect from a .45, and follow-up shots come back on target fast.
What Sets the Stribog SP45A3 Apart
The 8-inch threaded barrel comes with a thread protector installed and is ready for a suppressor or muzzle device whenever you are. Big, slow .45 ACP pairs beautifully with a can, which is a big part of why this platform has caught on with the suppressor crowd. Feeding comes from proven HK UMP-pattern magazines, and Grand Power includes three 20-rounders in the box along with a hard case. The trigger is a mil-spec AR pattern, so it feels familiar and there's a huge aftermarket if you ever want to upgrade it.
Built for Lefties and Righties Alike
Every control on the SP45A3 is ambidextrous, including the safety lever, and the non-reciprocating charging handle can be swapped to either side without tools. The receiver is a hardcoat anodized aluminum and polymer combination with full-length Picatinny rail up top and along the bottom, plus M-LOK slots at 3 and 9 o'clock. Flip-up iron sights come installed from the factory, so you can shoot it the day you pick it up or drop a red dot on and keep the irons folded as backups. QD sling sockets are built in as well.
A .45 ACP Sub Pistol That Earns Its Keep
Whether you're setting up a home defense rig, building a suppressor host, or just want something different and fun at the range, the SP45A3 covers a lot of ground. Twenty rounds of .45 on tap with recoil this manageable is a combination you don't run across every day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Stribog SP45A3 roller delayed or straight blowback?
The SP45A3 uses a roller delayed blowback system, similar in concept to classic HK designs. This makes a real difference with .45 ACP, since the rollers absorb bolt energy and smooth out the recoil impulse. The result is noticeably softer shooting than straight blowback guns in the same caliber.
What magazines does the Grand Power SP45A3 use?
It feeds from HK UMP-pattern polymer magazines, which are proven, widely available, and reasonably priced. Grand Power includes three 20-round magazines with this model, so you're set for a range day right out of the box.
Is the SP45A3 suppressor ready?
Yes. The 8-inch barrel is threaded and ships with a thread protector installed, so you can mount a suppressor or muzzle device with no gunsmithing required. Subsonic by nature, .45 ACP is one of the best calibers to run suppressed, which makes this pistol a popular host.
Can I mount a red dot on the Stribog SP45A3?
Absolutely. The receiver has a full-length Picatinny rail on top that accepts red dots and other optics, plus a bottom rail and M-LOK slots at 3 and 9 o'clock for lights, lasers, and hand stops. Factory flip-up iron sights come installed, so they can serve as backups once you add an optic.
