The grip texture is a fine, sandpaper-like stipple that locks into your hand without chewing up your side during a long day of carry, and the 18 degree grip angle points naturally, so the sights or the dot show up where you expect them. Yes, the Shield Plus runs the 13-round and 15-round extended magazines just fine. This particular SKU ships with two flush-fit 10-round mags, which keep the grip as short as possible for concealment. Extended mags are available separately if you want more capacity plus a full-hand grip.
The Plus upgraded to a double-stack style magazine for more capacity while barely adding any width, going from 8 rounds to 10 or 13 in the same class of gun. It also got a flat face trigger with a much cleaner break and reset, plus a more aggressive grip texture. Most holsters made for the original Shield and Shield 2.0 will still work with it.
