The XS Sights R3D 2.0 is a second-generation upgrade over the original R3D, and the improvements land where they matter most for a carry gun. You get a wide 0.145-inch front sight wrapped in XS's Ember Glow Dot, with a Swiss-made tritium vial glowing at the center. That combo means the front post grabs your eye in daylight and stays lit all night without a battery, so there's no fumbling for your sights when the light gets bad.
The big story with the 2.0 is the rear sight. XS swapped in larger, brighter tritium lamps and ringed them with a black PVC surround, which gives the rear dots a cleaner edge and makes it easy to tell the front lamp from the rear ones in the dark. The rear face is serrated to cut glare in bright light, and the 0.170-inch wide notch leaves plenty of daylight on either side of the front post for quick alignment. There's also a built-in ledge on the rear, so you can rack the slide one-handed off a belt or boot heel if you ever need to.
These are CNC machined from solid steel bar stock at XS's shop in Fort Worth, Texas, then finished in BlackNitride for corrosion resistance that shrugs off sweat and humidity better than a standard black oxide coating. This SKU is cut for the Smith & Wesson M&P and M2.0 Full Size and Compact platforms, including optics-ready models, giving you a solid iron sight setup or reliable co-witness backup.

Yes. This SKU (SW-R206P-6N) is a standard-height set cut for the Smith & Wesson M&P and M2.0 Full Size and Compact, including optics-ready models. On optics-ready pistols these work as your irons, though a taller optic may sit above them depending on your setup, so a suppressor-height set is the move if you want a full co-witness through the window.
The two work together and cover different situations. The Ember Glow Dot charges off ambient light and pops in daylight, while the tritium vial glows on its own around the clock with no battery. When the light drops to where the glow dot fades, the tritium keeps your front sight visible, so you're covered from bright sun to total dark.

Both use the same tritium, so the difference is the daylight glow dot color. Orange gives you the best contrast in bright light, while green tends to glow brightest in the dark. Eyesight varies person to person, so pick the color your eye catches fastest. This set is the orange front.
