The Super Modular Rail (SMR) MK4 from Geissele Automatics is an ultra-lightweight, purpose-built free-float handguard for AR-15 platforms. It uses Magpul’s M-LOK attachment system at the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions and the upper 45° quadrants to provide modular accessory mounting. The design includes integrated short M1913 Picatinny rail sections at the fore of the rail in the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions for optics and accessory interface. Extensive venting reduces overall weight while maintaining a strong, rigid platform suitable for repeatable zero and routine maintenance.
